Why is my Daikin Air Conditioner not heating well in cold weather?
S
samanthalandryAug 16, 2025
If your Daikin Air Conditioner isn't sufficiently heating your space at low outdoor temperatures, the backup heater equilibrium temperature might not be configured correctly. Increase the "equilibrium temperature" to activate the backup heater operation at a higher outdoor temperature. Also, check if too much heat pump capacity is being used for heating domestic hot water. Ensure that the “space heating priority status” has been enabled and increase the "space heating priority temperature" to activate the backup heater operation at a higher outdoor temperature.

What to do if the water pressure relief valve leaks in my Daikin Air Conditioner?
L
Lisa WilsonAug 19, 2025
If the water pressure relief valve in your Daikin Air Conditioner is leaking, it could be that dirt is blocking the water pressure relief valve outlet. Check whether the pressure relief valve works correctly by turning the red knob on the valve counterclockwise. If you do NOT hear a clacking sound, or if the water keeps running out of the unit, contact your dealer.

Why is my Daikin Altherma ERLQ004-006-008CA compressor not starting?
A
Andrew MclaughlinAug 26, 2025
If your Daikin Air Conditioner's compressor isn't starting, several factors could be at play. First, the water temperature might be too low, causing the unit to rely on the backup heater. Ensure the backup heater is correctly wired, its thermal protector isn't activated, and the contactor isn't broken. If the issue persists, it could be a mismatch between the preferential kWh rate power supply settings and electrical connections; verify these connections. Finally, the electricity company might have sent a preferential kWh rate signal, in which case you should wait for the power to return, which can take up to 2 hours.

How to fix a noisy pump in my Daikin Air Conditioner?
B
Brianna WalshAug 28, 2025
If the pump in your Daikin Air Conditioner is making noise, it could be due to air in the system. Try purging air manually on both zones or use the automatic air purge function on both zones. Another possibility is that the water pressure at the pump inlet is too low. Check that the water pressure is above 1 bar, the manometer isn't broken, the expansion vessel isn't broken, and the pre-pressure setting of the expansion vessel is correct.

Why is the tank disinfection failing on my Daikin Altherma ERLQ004-006-008CA (AH-error)?
K
Kevin DavisSep 3, 2025
If the tank disinfection function in your Daikin Air Conditioner is not completing correctly (AH-error), it might be because the disinfection function was interrupted by domestic hot water tapping. Try programming the start-up of the disinfection function when no domestic hot water tapping is expected for the next 4 hours. Another cause could be that the backup heater operation is not activated. Ensure that the backup heater operation mode is enabled and that the thermal protector of the backup heater has not been activated. If it has, check the water pressure and whether there is air in the system, then perform the air purge operation and press the reset button in the switch box.

Why is the water pressure unusually high in my Daikin Air Conditioner?
V
vanessawellsSep 6, 2025
If the pressure at the tapping point of your Daikin Air Conditioner is temporarily unusually high, it could be due to a failing or blocked pressure relief valve. Flush and clean the complete tank including the piping between pressure relief valve and the cold water inlet. If needed, replace the pressure relief valve.

What to do if hot water use interferes with disinfection on my Daikin Air Conditioner?
J
Joel BrownSep 9, 2025
If large domestic hot water tapping happened recently before the programmed start-up of the disinfection function of your Daikin Air Conditioner, and the Domestic hot water > Type > Reheat or Reheat + sched. is selected, it is recommended to program the start-up the disinfection function at least 4 hours later than the last expected large hot water tapping. Also, avoid pressing the button while the disinfection function is active, as the disinfection operation can be stopped manually.

Why are the panels bulging on my Daikin Air Conditioner's tank?
T
Tracy WardSep 12, 2025
If the decoration panels of your Daikin Air Conditioner are being pushed away due to a swollen tank, it's likely due to a failing or blocked pressure relief valve. Contact your local dealer for assistance.
