Usage Features
- Remote Controller: The primary interface for controlling the air conditioner. It displays current settings, including mode, temperature, and timer. The remote controller (models ARC433A24, A26) features buttons for ON/OFF, POWERFUL, TEMPERATURE adjustment, MODE selection (DRY/COOL/FAN), FAN setting, SWING (horizontal and vertical blades), ON TIMER, OFF TIMER, TIMER Setting, and TIMER CANCEL.
- Operation Modes:
- DRY Mode: Reduces room humidity while maintaining temperature. Temperature and fan strength are automatically controlled and not manually adjustable.
- COOL Mode: Provides cooling. Temperature and fan speed are adjustable.
- FAN Mode: Circulates air without cooling or drying. Fan speed is adjustable.
- Air Flow Rate Setting: Five levels of air flow rate are available in COOL and FAN modes.
- Air Flow Direction Adjustment:
- Horizontal Blades (Flaps): Adjustable via the "SWING" button on the remote controller. Users can stop the swing at their desired position.
- Vertical Blades (Louvers): For 18 and 24 class models, adjustable via the "SWING" button. For 13 class models, these are manually adjusted by holding a knob on the blades.
- 3-D Airflow (18, 24 class only): Combines horizontal and vertical blade movement to circulate air throughout the room, preventing localized cold or hot areas. Activated by pressing the "SWING" button multiple times.
- POWERFUL Operation: Maximizes cooling effect for a rapid temperature change. It runs for 20 minutes and then reverts to previous settings. In COOL mode, it fixes air flow to maximum and makes temperature/air flow settings non-variable. In DRY mode, it lowers temperature by 2.5°C and slightly increases air flow. In FAN mode, air flow is fixed to maximum.
- TIMER Operation:
- OFF TIMER: Automatically turns off the unit at a set time. Includes NIGHT SET MODE for comfortable sleep.
- ON TIMER: Automatically turns on the unit at a set time.
- Combined Timer: Allows setting both ON and OFF timers for sequential operation.
- Indoor Unit ON/OFF Switch: A manual switch on the indoor unit for basic operation (COOL mode, 22°C, AUTO air flow) when the remote controller is unavailable.
