6.3.1 Recommended water system

6.3.2 Recommended water system
Piping must be designed as level and simple as possible. In this way, water resistance is reduced,
and system performance is improved.
The water system should have:
1. Anti-vibration mountings in order to reduce transmission of vibrations to the
underlying structure.
2. Manual stop valve for a component that requires maintenance.
3. Water temperature and pressure indicators at water inlets and outlets to assist
operator during service and maintenance.
4. Water tank to increase the capacity of the water system.
5. Flexible hoses at the water inlets and outlets to avoid transmission of vibration.
6. A strainer or device which can remove foreign particles from the water before it
enters the pump (in order to prevent cavitation, please consult the pump
manufacturer for the recommended strainer type). The use of a strainer prolongs the
life of the pump and helps keep the water system in better condition.
