Overview

The Dayliff Aquastrong Smart 45 Water Boosting Pump is an innovative variable speed water boosting system designed for automatic pressurized water supply in various applications, including houses, apartments, offices, and other small-scale settings where a reliable water supply is essential. It provides constant pressure even with varying water demand.

Function Description:

The pump operates fully automatically, adjusting its performance to match flow with demand, ensuring a constant pressure supply. It also offers a constant speed function where pressure varies with demand. The system is equipped with an inverter-controlled variable speed technology that minimizes energy consumption. It features an optimized self-priming hydraulic design, which includes four-stage AISI304 stainless steel impellers, a high-spec mechanical seal that accommodates dry-running, and integral pressure and flow sensors. A permanent magnet air-cooled DC motor ensures high efficiency and quiet operation (60dB), along with built-in thermal overload and dry run protection. The pump includes adjustable inlet and outlet connectors for flexible installation, an inbuilt non-return valve, and an integral maintenance-free 1L pressure tank.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Power: 750W, 1x240V
  • Insulation: F
  • Enclosure Class: IPX5
  • Max Speed: 5200rpm
  • Pumped Liquid: Thin, clean, chemically non-aggressive liquids without solid particles or fibers.
  • Max. Ambient Temp: 55°C
  • Max. Liquid Temp: 80°C
  • Max Suction Depth: 8m
  • Factory Set Outlet Pressure: 3bar (adjustable from 1.0 to 5.5bar in 0.5bar intervals)
  • Tank Pre-charge Pressure: 1.25bar
  • Weight: 17kg
  • Dimensions: 437mm (length) x 202mm (width) x 332mm (height)

Usage Features:

  • LED Control Panel: An easy-to-use LED control panel displays the operating mode, motor speed, operating pressure, and various fault indicators.
  • Adjustable Pressure Settings: The pump's outlet pressure can be adjusted from 1.0 to 5.5bar, with a factory setting of 3bar. For optimal operation, the difference between inlet and outlet pressure should not exceed 3.5bar.
  • Operating Modes:
    • Full Automatic Mode: Displays set pressure and operating pressure. Pressure can be adjusted using "+" or "-" buttons (1.5 to 5.5bar).
    • Forced Start Mode: Displays motor speed (2,500 to 5,200 rpm), adjustable with "+" or "-" buttons.
  • Priming: The pump requires priming by unscrewing the priming plug and pouring at least 1.2 liters of water into the pump.
  • Starting Procedure: Involves opening a tap for venting, plugging in the pump, allowing water to flow until air is expelled, closing the tap, opening the highest tap in the installation, adjusting pressure, and then closing the tap.
  • Installation Flexibility: Adjustable inlet and outlet connectors allow for versatile installation. It can be installed indoors or outdoors, but must be protected from inclement weather. A minimum space of 620x400x530mm is recommended for service and maintenance access.
  • Safety Warnings:
    • Electrical work must be performed by a qualified electrician.
    • Prevent water leakage onto the motor or electrical connections to avoid shocks.
    • Install a filter on the inlet side if water contains sand, gravel, or debris.
    • Do not start the pump until properly primed.
    • Non-approved replacement parts should not be used.
    • Install the pump on a small stand to prevent ventilation holes from being flooded, especially for well applications where the inlet pipe must be submerged at least 0.5m.
  • Boosting from Mains: Pressure settings of 4.5, 5.0, and 5.5bar require a positive inlet pressure and should only be used when boosting from the water mains.

Maintenance Features:

  • Low Maintenance: With correct installation and operation, the Smart 45 does not require regular maintenance.
  • Storage: During periods of inactivity, the pump should be disconnected from the power supply and stored in a dry location.
  • Draining for Storage:
    1. Switch off the pump.
    2. Disconnect from power supply.
    3. Open a tap to release pressure in the pipe system.
    4. Close isolating valves and drain pipes.
    5. Gradually loosen the priming plug to release pressure in the pump.
    6. Remove the drain plug to drain the pump completely.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual provides guidelines for identifying and resolving common issues such as power supply failure, pipeline leakage, blocked pump, dry running fault, overheating protection, faulty pressure sensor, and faulty flow sensor. Solutions include checking connections, repairing leaks, cleaning the pump, priming, and contacting an authorized dealer if necessary.
  • Warranty: The product comes with a 2-year guarantee and GS certification in accordance with EU Uniform EN and German Industrial DIN Standards. The warranty covers defects arising from faulty design, materials, or workmanship for up to 1 year (replacement/repair at no charge) and between 1-2 years (replacement/repair at 50% of market price). It excludes consequential damages, fair wear and tear, careless handling, lack of maintenance, faulty installation, user incompetence, acts of God, or repairs by unauthorized parties.
