The Dayliff DBE series comprises horizontal multistage pumps designed for water supply in domestic and commercial applications, as well as for single and two-booster pump systems. These pumps are manufactured to high standards, ensuring efficient and trouble-free service over many years when installed and operated correctly.
Function Description:
The Dayliff DBE Booster is a compact water boosting unit featuring an integrated variable speed controller. This controller maintains a constant pressure output (adjustable up to 5 bar) by varying the demand. The pump is designed for simple installation, quiet operation, low operating noise levels, and a robust design for long life. The speed controller enhances pump performance by maximizing efficiency, thereby minimizing operating costs.
Key functional features include:
- Booster output: Adapts to demand by changing speed and the number of pumps in operation.
- Automatic pump alternation: In multi-pump setups, this ensures uniform operating periods among pumps.
- High efficiency, energy saving: Intelligent, constant pressure, and frequency conversion capabilities.
- Water flow and pressure control: Offers both manual and automatic control.
- Protection features: Includes water shortage, overload, and locked-rotor protection.
- Motor soft start and soft stop: Effectively protects the motor and extends its service life.
- Auto-start function: The pump automatically runs for a few seconds every 12 hours to prevent impeller jamming.
- Colorful panel: Displays error codes with indicator lights. If multiple errors are detected, codes alternate every 2 seconds.
Important Technical Specifications:
All hydraulic parts are made from AISI304 stainless steel. The pump unit is supplied with a 5-way connector, non-return valve, and integrated pressure sensor. For optimal operation, appropriately sized pressure tanks are required, with 3L being the minimum recommended size.
Motor:
The pump is fitted with a high-efficiency IE4 Permanent Magnet variable speed motor. This motor incorporates thermal protection against motor overload and dry run protection with auto-restart. The motor can be directly connected to the mains power supply through an appropriately sized FUSE or MCB.

Electrical Connections:
- Power Requirements: Supply voltage should be within 220V-240V. Low voltage will reduce pressure.
- Grounding: Reliable ground connection is necessary. The power outlet connecting to the plug should be reliably grounded.
- Leakage Protection: The pump should be properly installed with a leakage protection device.
- Cable Sizing: If the power cord is extended, it should be appropriately sized to minimize voltage drop.
- Fuse/Breaker: The motor must be connected to the power supply through an appropriately sized fuse or breaker.

Usage Features:
- Installation Location: Install in a well-ventilated position with suitable cover to avoid direct sunlight or rain. Not to be installed in flooded conditions. Maintain at least 150mm clearance from obstacles for effective airflow.
- Piping: Piping size should match pump inlet and outlet and not be less than the outlet piping diameter. Install isolation valves on both sides of the pump. If the pump is installed above water level, a foot valve must be installed on the suction pipe under the liquid level.
- Priming: For first-time use, fill the priming port with water to bleed air. Before running, ensure the pump body is filled with water and tighten the deflated bolt.
- Pressure Setting: The pressure setting should not be less than the outlet piping pressure. The starting pressure value is set to about 80% of the constant pressure value.
- Operation: Do not run the pump without water inside, as this can damage the mechanical seal and sliding bearing.
- Safety: Do not touch the pump when energized. Turn off power before maintenance or moving the pump. Do not remove or open safety protection devices during operation. Operate within prescribed conditions to avoid overloading.
Maintenance Features:
- Regular Checks: For good maintenance, regularly check the work pressure, operation pressure, possible leakage, motor overheating, condition of the inlet filter (if fitted), and motor overload disconnection time.
- Storage: When the pump is unused for a long time, it should be cleaned and stored properly.
- Troubleshooting: The manual provides a comprehensive troubleshooting guide for common issues such as the motor not starting, uneven water flow, low water output, abnormal vibration/noise, and frequent pump starts. Solutions range from checking power sources and replacing fuses to cleaning pipes, adjusting voltage, and consulting service providers.
- Error Codes: The control panel displays error codes (E1-E17) to help diagnose issues like lack of water, leakage, rotor locked, motor error, sensor faults, voltage error, driver board overheating, and communication faults.
Warranty:
