Trouble Shooting

Please review this list before calling a service centre. It could save you time and money. This
list includes frequent complaints that do not arise from defective workmanship or material
usage. Some of the features described here may not apply to your model.
Problem Possible cause Solution
The refrigerator
does not operate.
Temperature regulation knob is
set at “0”.
Set the knob on one of the
numbers to switch on the
refrigerator.
Mains plug is not plugged in or is
loose.
Make sure the refrigerator plug is
securely plugged in.
Blown fuse or circuit breaker has
tripped.
Check for a blown fuse or tripped
circuit breaker.
Electrical cord is damaged. Inspect the electrical cord for
damage.
Wall socket is defective. Mains malfunctions must be
corrected by an electrician.
Fridge temperature
is too warm.
Temperature is not properly
adjusted.
Check the temperature control
knob is correctly adjusted.
Door was open for an extended
period.
Open the door only as long as
necessary.
A large quantity of warm food was
place in the refrigerator in the last
24 hours.
Turn the temperature regulation
knob to a cooler setting
temporarily.
The refrigerator is near a heat
source.
Keep the refrigerator away from
heat sources. See the installation
section of the manual.
Fridge temperature
is very low .
Temperature is set too cold. Turn the temperature regulation
knob to a warmer setting.
Unusual noises. Refrigerator is not level. Readjust the feet.
The refrigerator is touching the
wall or other objects.
Move the refrigerator away from
the wall or objects. Position as per
the installation instructions.
Bad odour inside
the refrigerator.
The inside of the refrigerator is
dirty.
Clean the inside of the refrigerator
with a sponge, lukewarm water or
carbonated water.
Water on the floor. Water drain hole is blocked. Clean the drain hole with a cleaner.
Side panels are hot. This is normal and is not a fault.
Heat exchange is in the side panels.
Use gloves to touch side panels if
necessary.
Warning: Repairs must be
carried out by authorised persons
only. Repairs carried out by
incompetent persons create a
user risk.
DANGER! Always disconnect
the plug from the wall socket
before any maintenance or
cleaning.
