To build a spindle correction table, a plain ASCII text file must be created with table values as
follows:
;VERSION: Example-X
;CONFIG: X: C
X10 C0.5
X500 C1.0
X1000 C2.6
In this example, three setpoints are defined for the X-axis. The ‘VERSION’ statement on the
first line can be used to define a name or version for the table, but this is not compulsory.
The ‘CONFIG’ statement must be used to define the format of table entries. On the lines that
follow, the actual table entries are written.
A spindle correction table can be loaded from floppy. To be able to recognise a table for a
certain axis, each table has a unique filename, 'spcorXX.tab'. In this name, 'XX' must be replaced
by the index number of the required axis.
The following axis numbers can be used in filenames for tables:
00 X-axis
01 R-axis
02 R1-axis
03 R2-axis
06 Z-axis
09 Z1-axis
10 Z2-axis
13 I-axis
15 X2-axis
17 general purpose, X3-axis
18 general purpose, X4-axis
19 general purpose, X1-axis
20 general purpose, X2-axis
21 Part support
40 R3-axis
41 R4-axis
A table can be loaded in the parameter menu of the appropriate axis. In this menu the softkey
‘load cor. table’ is available. When pressed, the control will search for a valid file in the floppy
drive. If loading was succesfull, the string ‘SpCor.:’ will appear in the top row followed by the
name or version of the table, if present in the textfile. If loading was not succesfull, the message
‘File does not exist’ is displayed.
A loaded correction table can also be erased with the softkey ‘delete cor. table’. This softkey
appears automatically after a table has been loaded.
