Function
To program the number of slave axes.
Description
It is possible to have four axis in slave function of the master axis. This means that up to five R-
axes can be driven to the same value as programmed for one single R-axis in the control. Each
slave axis is independently controlled by a DM module.
You only have to program the master axis position and the slaves axes will follow. The slave
axes positions will not appear in the user interface. When you have defined the number of slaves,
the softkey ‘show slaves’ appears. With this softkey you get access to the slave axes parameters.
The following parameters are required for each slave axis:
• Reference position;
• encoder count direction.
All other machine parameter settings are automatically used/copied from the master axis.
Note
The control also has the possibility to program the slave axes positions individually. In this case
the parameter Individual pos. programmable should be 1. In Data preparation, Data editing and
Manual mode the softkey ‘show slaves’ will appear to program the slave positions.
