Boot Optimized Storage Subsystem
The Boot Optimized Storage Subsystem (BOSS) is oered as a means of booting PowerEdge systems to a full OS mode when,
• Target OS is a full OS and not hypervisor that may be supported best by IDSDM
• You do not wish to trade o standard hot plug drive slots for OS install
The RAID controller on the BOSS card has limited set of features. This RAID controller presents the M.2 SATA SSDs as either a non-
RAID volume or as a single RAID volume.
