Removing the Coin-Cell Battery


1. Follow the procedures in Before Working on Your Computer.

2. Remove the bottom of the base assembly (see Removing the E5400 Bottom of the Base Assembly or Removing the E5500 Bottom of the Base
Assembly).

3. Disconnect the coin-cell battery cable connector from the system board.

4. Lift the coin-cell battery from the system board.
Replacing the Coin-Cell Battery


1. Connect the coin-cell battery cable connector to the system board.

2. Position the coin-cell battery on the system board.
