Overview

This document is a Quick Start Guide for the Dell Latitude E7250/7250 and Latitude E7450/7450 models, identified by regulatory models P22S and P40G, and regulatory types P22S002 and P40G002. The guide is provided in English and is intended for regulatory purposes only.

Warnings and Cautions:

The guide emphasizes safety with clear warnings and cautions. A WARNING indicates a potential for property damage, personal injury, or death. A CAUTION indicates potential damage to hardware or loss of data and provides instructions on how to avoid the problem. NOTES provide important information to help users make better use of their computer.

Setting up Your Computer:

Proper setup is crucial for optimal performance and longevity. When positioning the computer, ensure easy access to a power source, adequate ventilation, and a level surface. Restricting airflow can lead to overheating; therefore, maintain at least 10.2 cm (4 inches) of space at the back and a minimum of 5.1 cm (2 inches) on all other sides. The computer should never be placed in an enclosed space, such as a cabinet or drawer, while powered on. Blocking air vents, pushing objects into them, or allowing dust accumulation can damage the computer or cause a fire. Storing the computer in a low-airflow environment while powered on is also discouraged. Fan noise during operation is normal and indicates the computer is managing its temperature. Placing or stacking heavy or sharp objects on the computer can cause permanent damage.
