Removing the Palm Rest
1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer.
2. Remove the battery from the computer.
3. Remove the power button and multimedia button pads from the computer.
4. Remove the keyboard from the computer.
5. Remove the display assembly from the computer.
6. Remove the eleven palm rest screws that secure the palm rest to the bottom of the computer.
7. Open the touch pad data cable clip.
