- Milk Carafe (E): Requires cleaning after each use, especially the lid (E2) and froth adjustment dial (E1), to prevent milk residues. The machine prompts for cleaning by displaying "TURN ADJUSTMENT DIAL TO CLEAN POSITION". Components can be washed in a dishwasher (top basket, 50°C) or by hand.
- Hot Water Nozzle (A8): Cleaned every time milk is prepared, using a sponge to remove residues.
- Descaling: The machine prompts for descaling when needed ("DESCALING NEEDED - PRESS OK TO START"). De'Longhi "EcoDecalk" descaler is recommended. The descaling process involves pouring descaler and water into the tank, then running a cycle that delivers the solution through the spouts, followed by multiple rinse cycles.
- Filter Replacement: The machine prompts for replacement of the water softener filter (D4) after two months of normal use or three weeks of idle time.
