RECOMMENDATIONS
• Beforeusecheckthatthevoltagepowersupplycorresponds
to the one shown on the appliance data plate.
• Onlyconnecttheappliancetoelectricalsocketswhichhavea
minimum load of 10A and which are properly earthed. (If the
socket and the plug on the appliance should prove incompa-
tible, get a professionally qualied technician to replace the
socket with a more suitable one).
• Donotplacetheappliancenearheatsources.
• Ifthesupplycordisdamaged,itmustbereplacedbythema-
nufacturer, its service agent in order to avoid a hazard.
• Theapplianceishotwhenitisinuse.DONOTLEAVEITWITHIN
THE REACH OF CHILDREN.
• Donotmovethedeepfryerwhentheoilishot,asthereit
could cause serious burns.
• Thedeepfryermustonlybeswitchedonafterithasbeenl-
led with oil or fat. If it is heated up while empty, a thermal sa-
fety device comes into operation which stops it from working.
In this case it is necessary to contact our nearest authorised
service centre.
• Ifthedeepfryerleaksoil,contactthetechnicalservicecentre
or sta authorised by the Company.
• Thebasketclipsautomaticallyintothecentralpininthepan
boiler. Therefore, to avoid breaking it, do not turn it manually
in order to seek the correct position.
• Beforeusingthedeepfryerforthersttime,washthepan,
the basket and the lid (removing the lter) carefully with hot
waterandwashingupliquid.Whenthishasbeendone,dry
carefully. After washing, dry thoroughly. Remove any water
left in the bottom of the container. This avoids dangerous
spurts of hot oil during use.
• Theapplianceisnotintendedforusebypersons(including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabili-
ties, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children
should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
• Nevermovetheappliancewhiletheoilisstillhot.
• To move the appliance, use the special lifting handles (I).
(Never lift by the basket handle). Check that the oil is cool
enough (waiting about 2 hours).
• Itistotallynormalthat,onrstuse,therefrigeratoremitsa
“new appliance” smell. If this happens, aerate the room.
• Neverleavethepowercablehangingfromtheedgeofthe
surface the deep fryer is resting on, where it could be grasped
by a child or get in the way of the user.
• Whenopeningthelid,takegreatcaretoavoidhotsteamand
splashes of boiling oil.
• Neverusehomemadeorveryacidoils.
• Applianceisnotintendedtobeoperatedbymeansofanex-
ternal timer or separate remote-control system.
• ThisapplianceconformstoECdirective2004/108/EConElec-
tromagnetic Compatibility and EC regulation no. 1935/2004
of 27/10/2004 on materials intended for contact with food.
• Thisisahouseholdapplianceonly.Itisnotintendedforuse:
in sta kitchen areas in shops, oce and other working envi-
ronments, farm houses, by clients in hotels, motels and other
residential type environments, bed and Breakfast type envi-
ronments.

product in accordance with EC Directive 2002/96/EC.
At the end of its working life, the product must not be disposed
of as urban waste. It must be taken to a special local authority
dierentiated waste collection centre or to a dealer providing
this service. Disposing of a household appliance separately avoids
possible negative consequences for the environment and health
deriving from inappropriate disposal and enables the constituent
materials to be recovered to obtain signicant savings in energy
