How to make drip coee
Please note: the rst time the appliance is used, all ac-
cessories and the internal circuits must be washed through by
making at least two jugs of coee without using pre-ground
coee.
• Lift the lid (E) and use the jug (A) to ll the tank with fresh,
clean water (g. 1) up to the level corresponding to the
number of cups of coee you want to make. Check the level
of water in the tank through the level window (I) (g. 2).
You are recommended to use the jug provided as a measu-
re as the maximum capacity of the jug and the tank are the
same.
• Position the permanent lter (H) (if present) in the lter
holder (F) (g. 3). In versions without permanent lter, use
the paper lter (size 1x4).
• Place the pre-ground coee in the lter using the measu-
re (C) provided and level evenly (g. 5). See the table for
recommended quantities. Use good quality, medium pre-
ground coee for drip coee makers.

(*) 1 level measure = 1 tablespoon (5 g)
The quantities given in the table are indicative and should be
adapted to your personal taste and the type of coee. Never ex-
ceed the maximum quantity of 10 measures. The type of blend
has a considerable inuence on the coee you make. You should
therefore try various types of coee to nd the one best suited
to your taste.
• close the coee compartment lid and place the closed jug
on the plate (g. 5).
• Press the button (G) (g. 6). The light on the switch in-
dicates that the coee maker is operating. Coee delivery
will start after a few seconds. It is completely normal for
the appliance to give o steam while the coee is percola-
ting. The coee maker emits a beep when delivery begins,
then three beeps when it ends.
• In models with glass jug: if you leave the button
pressed after percolation has nished, the plate will keep
the coee at the ideal temperature. The appliance goes o
automatically 40 minutes after coee delivery ends.
To turn the plate o press the button again.
• For a new brewing cycle switch o the appliance pressing
button and restart .
Please note: removing the jug before all the coee re-
quested has been delivered does not interrupt coee making,
but merely blocks ow into the jug. If you want to pour out a
little coee immediately, you should do so as rapidly as possible
in order to avoid the coee overowing.
Cleaning and maintenance
