Overview

This document describes the De'Longhi TRRSE Series Oil Filled Radiator, an appliance designed for heating rooms.

Function Description

The De'Longhi TRRSE Series Oil Filled Radiator is an electric heater that uses oil as a heat transfer medium. It is designed to provide warmth and comfort in indoor spaces. The appliance features a digital display (A) and various control buttons for operation.

Heating Function: To turn the appliance on, press the On/Standby button (B). The desired power level can be set using the power button (E), cycling through MIN (single wave symbol), MED (double wave symbol), and MAX (triple wave symbol). The temperature can be adjusted using the increase (+) button (C) or decrease (-) button (D). Each press changes the temperature by 1°C. Holding the button down will rapidly increase or decrease the value. The appliance allows temperature settings from 5°C to 28°C.

Eco Function: When activated by pressing the ECO button (F), the appliance automatically sets the most appropriate power level to maintain optimum comfort while reducing energy consumption. The display will show the ECO symbol. If the selected temperature is significantly higher than the actual room temperature, the appliance will automatically and rapidly heat the room. The appliance will automatically select the most convenient power level (MAX-MED-MIN-OFF). If MAX power level was previously selected, the appliance will cycle between MAX-MED-MIN-OFF. If MED power level was selected, it will cycle between MED-MIN-OFF. If MIN power level was selected, it will cycle between MIN-OFF.

Anti-freeze Function: Setting the temperature to 5°C using the "-" button activates the Antifreeze function. The display will show the asterisk (*) symbol. In this mode, the appliance will turn on automatically at maximum power only if the room temperature falls below 5°C. To return to the Heating function, press the "+" button once.

Timer Function: The timer function can be activated in two ways:

  • Delayed Start: With the appliance in standby mode, press the timer button (G). The display will show the hours remaining before the appliance turns on, along with the timer symbol and "h" symbol flashing. Adjust the hours using the + and - buttons, then wait a few seconds for the program to be stored. The display will return to off, but the timer symbol will remain on. Once the programmed time elapses, the appliance will turn on with its previous settings.
  • Delayed Stop: With the appliance on, press the timer button (G). The display will show the hours remaining before the appliance goes to standby mode, along with the power level, selected function, timer symbol, and "h" symbol flashing. Adjust the hours using the + and - buttons, then wait a few seconds for the program to be stored. The current settings and timer symbol will be displayed. At the end of the set time, the appliance switches to standby mode automatically. To cancel the timer and return to normal operation, press the timer button twice. The timer symbol will disappear from the display. The timer can be set from 0.5 to 24 hours.

Key Lock Function: To prevent accidental operation, the keyboard can be locked. While the appliance is on, press the + and - buttons simultaneously for at least 3 seconds. The display will show the lock symbol, and two short beeps will be emitted. To deactivate the function, repeat the same procedure.

Brightness of the Display: The appliance offers two brightness settings for the display. The highest brightness is active when any key button is pressed. After a few seconds of inactivity, the brightness decreases to the operating level. This lower level can be adjusted: with the appliance on, press the ECO button for 5 seconds. The display will show "LO". Use the + and - buttons to select the desired brightness (three levels available). After 5 seconds without pressing any button, the brightness level will be memorized, and the operating conditions will revert to those previously set.

Change of Temperature Scale: The display can show temperature in either °F or °C. To change the scale, when the unit is in standby, press and hold the "+" and "ECO" keys for at least 10 seconds, then release. Two short beeps will indicate the change of scale.
