1. Judgement by Confirming of Focus Search
(Check for focus search function of PU Lens)
Actuate the service
program.(service mode)
Press[PLAY] button
without loading the disc.
Does PU lens move
up / down?
Yes
Load the adjustment
disc.
Press button.
Perform continuous
focus search. (Note 1)
Trouble may exist in defection
other than PU.
Cause of defection:
1.ls inner Switch OK?
2.1s loading Switch OK?
3.Is slide functioning?
4.ls any melting trace found
around PU lens?
(If yes, this is caused by
other defection, require PU
replacement.) Check for 1 thru
4, etc.
Confirm that the connector
cable is properly inserted.
Does FOK signal
turned "L" to "H"?
Does FOK signal
turned "L" to "H"?
Trouble may exist in PU
abnormality due to FOK.
Execute PU replacement.

Perform checking of
item 2. (Next page)
Note 1: Press|PLAY] button continually in FOK measuring.
