  If 'USB' is not displayed on your Denon Receiver when a USB memory device is connected, first check the connection. It could be that the set cannot recognize the USB memory device. Also, ensure that the USB memory device conforms to mass storage class or MTP standards. Note that DENON does not guarantee that all USB memory devices will operate or receive power. If you are connecting via a USB hub, connect the USB memory device directly to the USB port.

  Your Denon Receiver might be turning off suddenly with a flashing red power indicator (flashing at 0.5 second intervals) because the protection circuit has been activated due to a rise in internal temperature. Turn off the power, wait for the unit to fully cool down, and then turn it back on. Another cause could be that the core wires of two speakers are touching, or a core wire is sticking out and touching the set's rear panel, which also activates the protection circuit. Unplug the power cord first, then twist the core wires tightly or terminate the speaker cables, and then reconnect.

The files may also be stored in a non-compatible format; record the files in a compatible format. Finally, files that are copyright protected cannot be played on this set.
