  If the indicator light is on, first test each Tap-On Foot Pedal to ensure the correct one is being used. With a handpiece and insert installed, depress the Tap-On Foot Pedal to the first position to see if the system dispenses water. If none of the Tap-On Foot Pedals operate the system, ensure the foot pedal power is ON and resynchronize one Tap-On Foot Pedal to the system.

  If the Dentsply Sirona Dental equipment shows Service Indicator 2 in the upper left corner of the main screen, it could be due to: * The unit being installed in a confined area (such as a cabinet), or being too close to a heat source to ensure proper air circulation around the unit. Provide adequate air circulation around the unit. * A problem on the PC board(s). Return the Cavitron® 300 Series scaler to Dentsply Sirona Preventive Product Service for factory certified service.

  If the Dentsply Sirona Dental equipment scaler does not power up and the touch screen doesn't illuminate, it could be due to: * A faulty wall outlet. Check the outlet and take corrective measures if needed. * The power cord not being fully inserted into the unit or wall outlet. Ensure the power cord is fully engaged. * A damaged power cord. Replace the power cord. * Blown fuse F3 and/or F4. Replace the internal fuses F3 and F4 with the specified fuses. * A damaged On/Off switch. Replace the On/Off switch.

  If the Dentsply Sirona Dental equipment insert slides out of the Steri-Mate™ (360) during scaling, check these potential causes: * The Water Regulator / Solenoid might be set too high. Adjust it to the specified settings. * The handpiece water flow could be too high. Set the handpiece water flow control to approximately 35 cc/min. * The insert O-rings may be worn. Replace them.

  If the Dentsply Sirona Dental equipment Tap-On Technology is not working, consider the following: * Ensure the Foot Control is tapped quickly. If the Foot Control is not tapped quickly, the Tap-On Technology will not operate. * Check if Tap-On Technology is disabled. Press and hold the Settings Icon for approximately two (2) seconds. * A sensor in the handpiece holder prevents the Tap-On Technology from operating when the handpiece is in the holder. * Ensure the insert is secured in the handpiece. Fully seat the insert.
