What to do if my Desert Aire Aura QS compressor does not run?

  If your Desert Aire Dehumidifier's compressor isn't running, start by checking for a tripped circuit breaker or blown fuses to restore main power. Also, verify that the blower and compressor overloads haven't tripped; correct the cause and reset them if needed. Inspect the wiring for any loose or faulty connections on both the system and the dehumidifier. If the compressor starts but doesn't pump, or if the motor windings are shorted, the compressor may need replacement. Finally, if none of these are the cause, wait 3 minutes to account for any compressor delay time.

  If your Desert Aire Dehumidifier blower isn't running, ensure the “Occupied” switch is closed. Check for a loss of main power by looking for tripped circuit breakers or blown fuses. Make sure the damper isn't stuck or frozen, preventing the actuator end switch from closing; free the damper or replace the actuator if defective. Also, check if the blower overload has tripped; if so, correct the cause and reset it. Finally, inspect the control wiring for any loose or incorrect connections on the system and controller.
