Overview

The Devanti Ceramic Tower Heater, model CTH-B-2000-BK, is designed to provide warmth in well-insulated spaces or for occasional use. It features a ceramic heating element and a tower design, making it a suitable heating solution for various indoor environments. The device is operated via a touch control panel on the unit itself and also comes with a remote control for convenient adjustments from a distance.

Function Description

The primary function of this appliance is to generate heat, offering multiple heating modes to suit different preferences and energy-saving needs. Upon plugging in, an ON/OFF symbol illuminates, indicating the unit is in standby mode. To activate the heater, the user simply presses the power button. The default heating mode is High Heat, which is indicated by a specific symbol on the display, ensuring continuous high-power heating. For energy conservation, an ECO Mode is available, which causes the heater to cycle between High Heat and Low Heat to maintain a room temperature around 24°C, with the ECO symbol lighting up. This mode also includes an automatic cut-off if there's no further operation within 24 hours of continuous working. Additionally, a Low Heat Mode provides continuous heating at a lower power setting, and a Fan Mode allows for air circulation without heat.

The heater incorporates a temperature setting feature, allowing users to set a desired room temperature between 15°C and 35°C, with a default setting of 30°C. In this smart mode, the heater automatically cycles on and off to maintain the set temperature, with "TEMP" and "Mode" buttons lighting up. An oscillation function, activated by an "OSC" button, enables the heater to swing, distributing warmth more broadly across a room. A timer function allows users to set a period from 0 to 9 hours, in 1-hour intervals, after which the heater will automatically turn off.

For enhanced safety and user convenience, the heater includes a key lock function. By pressing the TIMER button on the top panel for 3 seconds, the heater can be locked, preventing unintended operation, and a lock symbol will illuminate. Pressing the TIMER button again for 3 seconds releases the child lock. The device also features mood lights on the top control cover, with different colors indicating the current mode: blue for Fan Mode, purple for Low power heat, and red for High power heat and ECO mode. These mood lights can be turned off via the remote control. A unique feature allows the LED display to be turned off by pressing the power button for 3 seconds, and it can be reactivated by pressing any button.

Usage Features

The Devanti Ceramic Tower Heater is designed with several features to ensure safe and efficient operation. It is crucial to operate the product from a power source matching the voltage, frequency, and rating specified on the product identification plate. Before use, the unit should be removed from its packaging and inspected for good condition. The power cord must be fully extended and arranged to avoid contact with any part of the heater during operation.

Safety is paramount, and the manual emphasizes several precautions. The heater should not be covered to prevent overheating and must not be located immediately below a socket outlet. It is unsuitable for use in the immediate surroundings of a bath, shower, or swimming pool. The heater should always be placed on a horizontal and stable surface. To reduce the risk of fire, textiles, curtains, or any other flammable material must be kept at a minimum distance of 1 meter from the air outlet. The heater should not be used in small rooms occupied by persons incapable of leaving the room on their own, unless constant supervision is provided.

The appliance is equipped with an overheat protection system that automatically switches off the unit if it overheats, for example, due to obstructed grids. In such an event, the user must unplug the appliance, allow it to cool for about 30 minutes, remove any obstruction, and then switch it back on. If the problem persists, customer service should be contacted. After pressing the OFF button, the fan will continue to blow room air for 15 seconds to cool internal components before shutting down to standby. This feature helps maintain the longevity of the unit. The heater also includes a tip-over switch, which automatically cuts off power if the unit is accidentally tipped over.

Maintenance Features

Proper maintenance is essential for the longevity and safe operation of the Devanti Ceramic Tower Heater. Before any cleaning work, the appliance must be switched off via the main power supply and unplugged. The housing can be cleaned with a lightly damp cloth, a vacuum cleaner, or a dusting brush. It is crucial to avoid using flammable or abrasive cleaning agents such as benzene or spirit, and the appliance should never be immersed in water.

The air inlet and outlet should be cleaned regularly with a vacuum cleaner to prevent dust and fluff deposits, which are a common cause of overheating. If the appliance is not going to be used for an extended period, it should be protected against excessive dust and dirt. It is recommended to dismount the heater and store it in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and dirt, to ensure its good condition for future use.
