for battery chargers.
• Beforeusingcharger,readallinstructionsand
cautionary markings on charger, battery pack,
and product using battery pack.
DANGER: Electrocution hazard.
230 volts are present at charging
terminals.Donotprobewithconductive
objects. Electric shock or electrocution
may result.
WARNING: Shockhazard.Donotallow
anyliquidtogetinsidecharger.Electric
shock may result.
CAUTION: Burn hazard. To reduce
the risk of injury, charge only DeWALT
rechargeable batteries. Other types of
batteries may burst causing personal
injury and damage.
CAUTION: Under certain conditions,
withthechargerpluggedintothe
powersupply,theexposedcharging
contacts inside the charger can be
shortedbyforeignmaterial.Foreign
materials of a conductive nature such
as,butnotlimitedto,steelwool,
aluminum foil, or any buildup of metallic
particlesshouldbekeptawayfrom
chargercavities.Alwaysunplugthe
chargerfromthepowersupplywhen
there is no battery pack in the cavity.

• Pullbyplugratherthancordwhen
disconnectingcharger.Thiswillreduceriskof
damage to electric plug and cord.
• Makesurethatcordislocatedsothatit
willnotbesteppedon,trippedover,or

• Donotuseanextensioncordunlessit
isabsolutelynecessary.Use of improper
extension cord could result in risk of fire, electric

• Donotplaceanyobjectontopofcharger
orplacethechargeronasoftsurfacethat
mightblocktheventilationslotsandresult
inexcessiveinternalheat. Placethecharger
inapositionawayfromanyheatsource.The
charger is ventilated through slots in the top and
the bottom of the housing.
• Donotoperatechargerwithdamagedcord
orplug— have them replaced immediately.
• Donotoperatechargerifithasreceived
asharpblow,beendropped,orotherwise
damagedinanyway. Take it to an authorized
service center.
• Donotdisassemblecharger;takeittoan
authorizedservicecenterwhenserviceor
repairisrequired. Incorrect reassembly may
result in a risk of electric shock, electrocution or
fire.
