Repairs
The charger and batteries are notserviceable. There are no
serviceable parts inside the charger or batterypack.
WARNING: To assure product SAFETY and RELIABILITY,
repairs, maintenance and adjustment (including power
cord repairs, and brush inspection and replacement,
when applicable) should be performed by a
DeWALT
factory service center or a DeWALT authorized service
center. Always use identical replacementparts.
Tool Connect™ Chip (Fig.H, I)
Optional Accessory
Your tool is Tool Connect™ Chip ready and has a location for
installation of a Tool Connect™ Chip.
Tool Connect™ chip

communicates with an optional
application for your smart device (such as a smart phone
or tablet) that connects the device to utilize the mobile
application for inventory management functions.

moreinformation.
Installing the Tool Connect™ Chip

2. Ensure that the Tool Connect™ Chip is flush with the
housing. Secure it with the retaining screws

tighten thescrews.

Accessories

Cleaning
WARNING: Never use solvents or other harsh
chemicals for cleaning the non‑metallic parts of the
tool. These chemicals may weaken the plastic materials
used in these parts. Use a cloth dampened only with
water and mild soap. Never let any liquid get inside the
tool; never immerse any part of the tool into aliquid.
MAINTENANCE
WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal
injury, turn unit off and disconnect it from power
source and remove the battery pack before making
any adjustments or removing/installing attachments
or accessories. An accidental start‑up can causeinjury.
Your DeWALT product has been designed to operate over
a long period of time with a minimum of maintenance.
Continuous satisfactory operation depends upon proper
care and regularcleaning.
USB Charging Ports (Fig.A, G)
The DWST08050 is equipped with one USB

charging ports. The USB

delivers up to
2.0amps and the USB-C

delivers up to 3.0amps of
totalcurrent.
NOTE: The current delivered to the device is dependent
upon the user's device and user's chosen cable.
NOTE: Do not plug in devices that exceed the output ratings
on the DWST08050 rating label. Doing so will shorten the
charger's usefullife.
Using the USB port:

Storage and Transportation
• Always store disconnected from power supply!
• Avoid using the product outdoors or transporting in an
open vehicle if there is noticeable damage to the sealing
gasket or plastic exterior.
• Avoid continuous exposure to rain or other precipitation
if stored outdoors or on a vehicle, or if transported in an
openvehicle.
• Store the charger in a place that is as cool and dry
aspossible.
• Store the charger in a place where it cannot be accessed by
children or unauthorizedpersons.
• Check the charger for damage before use after long periods
ofstorage.
