Cleaning

General

Keep roaster and exhaust ducting clean to prevent fire hazards and maintain performance.

Daily Basis

Perform daily general cleaning, check for residue, and remove chaff from lower compartments.

After Every 12 Hours

Remove chaff and broken beans from the drum chaff tray.

Every Two Weeks

Clean the cooling bin to maintain its cooling efficiency.

After 60 Hours of Roasting

Perform thorough cleaning of all compartments and check components.

Lower Compartments

Clean chaff from lower compartments after every four hours and daily.

Drum Chaff Tray

Clean out chaff and beans from the drum tray daily.

Cooling Bin

Clean the area below the screen and the screen itself for efficiency and fire prevention.

Blower Impeller

Clean impeller and housing every 60 hours or if residue exceeds 1/8 inch.

Chaff Collector Duct

Clean the duct after 150 hours of roasting if residue build-up exceeds 1/8 inch.

Roaster Exhaust Ducting

Check ducting monthly for residue build-up and clean annually.

General Cleaning

Clean outside painted surfaces, view windows, chute, and agitator assembly.

List of required tools and lubricants for cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Blower Motors

Lubricate blower motor bearings every six months with light oil.

Agitator Motors

Agitator motors are sealed and require no service.

Drum Motors

Drum motors are sealed and require no service.

Roasting Drum Drive Chain

Oil the drive chain every six months with SAE20 non-detergent oil.

Roasting Drum Drive Chain Adjustment

Adjust chain tension to achieve 3/4 to 1-inch slack.

Front and Rear Drum Bearing

Lubricate drum bearings every 20 operating hours with high-temperature food-grade grease.

Burner & Drum Chaff Tray Access Doors

Lubricate door hinges every six months with WD-40 spray.

Agitator Drive Shaft Couplings

Check set screws on couplings every six months to ensure they remain secure.

Agitator Brush Assembly Adjustment

Adjust agitator brush bristles to lightly touch the cooling bin screen.

Air Flow Control Handle

Lubricate the air flow control handle every six months with high temperature grease.
