Overview

The Digitax F1 Plus Taximeter is an automotive electronic device designed for calculating taxi fares, managing trip data, and providing statistical information. It features a front panel with a main display, a secondary display, and five control keys: OP, K1, K2, K3, and K4. The device operates in three primary modes: "For Hire," "Hired," and "Stopped," which are selectable using the OP button.

Function Description

The core function of the taximeter is to calculate fares based on distance or time, depending on the operational mode. It tracks various trip parameters such as total kilometers, run time, waiting time, and collected amounts. The device also includes a statistical memory system that stores detailed activity information, allowing for analysis of working shifts and cumulative data.

Usage Features

Operational Modes:

  • For Hire: This is the default mode when the taxi is parked or moving without a passenger. The clock is displayed, and the keys have specific functions related to time and date.
    • Chrono Start/Stop (K1): Initiates or stops a chronological timer.
    • Go back from Chrono to Clock (K2): Returns the display from the chronological timer to the clock.
    • Shows calendar Day and Month (K3): Displays the current day and month.
    • Shows Year (K4): Displays the current year.
  • Hired: Once a trip begins with a passenger, the driver selects this mode using the OP button. The "Taxi" roof sign turns off, and the taximeter starts calculating the fare based on distance or time.
    • Selects Rate Nr (K1): Allows selection of different fare rates if enabled.
    • Insert Extra Nr 1 (K2): Adds Extra Number 1 to the fare if enabled.
    • Insert Extra Nr 2 (K3): Adds Extra Number 2 to the fare if enabled.
    • Reset Extras (K4): Clears any added extras.
  • Stopped: At the end of a trip, the driver selects this mode using the OP button. This action blocks the waiting time counting.
    • Insert Special Extras (K1): Adds special extras to the fare.
    • Insert Extra Nr 3 (K2): Adds Extra Number 3 to the fare if enabled.
    • Insert Extra Nr 4 (K3): Adds Extra Number 4 to the fare if enabled.
    • Reset Extras (K4): Clears any added extras.

Statistical Memory:

The taximeter features two blocks of memory, each with 45 locations, to record and store activity information.

  • Block 1 (Partial Block): This block stores activity information that can be read, printed, and erased as needed. It is useful for controlling and analyzing working shift data.
  • Block 2 (Total or Cumulative Block): This block stores cumulative activity information that can only be read and printed, providing a comprehensive record.
