WHAT IS LATCH/UAS?
Most vehicles manufactured after September 1, 2002 are equipped with:
U.S.: LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for
CHildren)
Canada: UAS/DUA (Universal Anchorage System)
Check your vehicle owner’s manual to determine LATCH/UAS compatible
seating positions. Some vehicle manuals use the term “ISOFIX” instead;
LATCH/UAS can also be used in vehicle seating positions that are
equipped with ISOFIX. Look for the LATCH/UAS symbol that may be
visible by the crease of the rear seats.
