The vacuum is equipped with a powerful motor that generates strong suction, making it effective for picking up dust, dirt, and pet hair from both hard floors and carpets. Its cylinder form factor, combined with a flexible hose and telescopic wand, allows for easy maneuverability around furniture and into tight spaces. Usage Features

The Rebel 3.0 is designed for ease of use, starting with its assembly. To begin, the hose simply clicks into place on the main unit. The metal telescopic extension tube and hose handle connect together, providing adjustable reach for various cleaning tasks. All accessories can be fitted to the end of the telescopic extension tube or directly to the hose handle, offering flexibility in how the vacuum is used.

Before operation, users are advised to fully unwind the power cord. A yellow mark on the cord indicates the recommended cord length, and it's important not to exceed this mark to prevent potential issues. Once plugged into an electrical socket, ensuring the switch is in the 'off' position beforehand, the unit can be turned on by pressing the power button.

The vacuum features a variable power dial, allowing users to adjust the suction strength according to the surface being cleaned. For carpets, a rocker switch on the combination floor tool is pushed forward to engage the brushbar, while for hard floors, the switch is rocked back to disengage it, preventing scratches and ensuring optimal cleaning. This adaptability makes the Rebel 3.0 suitable for homes with mixed flooring types.

Maneuverability is a key aspect of its design. The cylinder unit follows the user, and the long hose and telescopic wand provide ample reach without needing to constantly reposition the main body. The combination floor tool is versatile, designed to transition smoothly between different floor types. For cleaning above floors, the telescopic wand and various attachments can be used to reach curtains, shelves, and upholstery.

When cleaning on stairs, extra care should be taken, and it's important to ensure the brushbar is turned off to prevent damage or accidents. The vacuuming area should always be well lit for safety and effectiveness.

For storage, the Rebel 3.0 includes a convenient parking slot at the rear of the vacuum cleaner where the floor head and tubes can be attached. This keeps the components organized and makes the unit easy to carry. The cable rewind button, located at the rear of the machine, allows for quick and tidy storage of the power cord. After unplugging, pressing this button fully retracts the cord into the machine.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for the optimal performance and longevity of the Dirt Devil Rebel 3.0. The bagless design means that emptying and cleaning the dirt container is a routine task. To do this, the dirt container is removed by pushing down the release button and lifting it off the main body. Holding the container over a bin, the dirt release latch (located at the rear) is pressed to empty the contents.

Filters are a critical component of the vacuum's suction power and motor protection. The Rebel 3.0 features both a pre-motor filter and a post-motor HEPA media filter. It is highly important to keep these filters clean to maintain maximum performance and prevent overheating and permanent damage to the vacuum cleaner.

Cleaning the pre-motor filter involves holding the dirt container and twisting the lid anti-clockwise to reveal the filter. The pre-motor filter is then lifted out. Excess dirt can be tapped off the filter. This filter is washable; it should be rinsed under a tap, ensuring the water temperature does not exceed 40°C. After washing, the filter must be left to dry completely for 24 hours before being reinserted into the vacuum cleaner. It is imperative that filters are completely dry before being put back into the machine to avoid damage.

The shroud, which includes the inner separator, also requires cleaning. After removing the pre-motor filter, the inner separator is removed from the container, and its cap is taken off. Any excess dirt can be dislodged by gently tapping the inner separator upside down over a bin.

The HEPA media post-motor filter is located in the right-side wheel. To access it, the center of the wheel is held, and the wheel cover is twisted anti-clockwise. Once the wheel cover is off, the post-motor filter can be easily removed. This filter is not washable; excess dirt should be tapped off it. It should never be washed.

The motor is equipped with a thermal cut-out feature for safety. If the unit overheats due to blocked nozzles, a full dust container, or unclean filters, the thermostat will automatically turn off the vacuum. Should this occur, the user must unplug the vacuum, turn off the switch, remove and empty the dirt container, check the hose for blockages, and clean the filters. The unit should then be allowed to cool for approximately one hour (or 24 hours if filters were washed) before being plugged back in and switched on.

Users are warned that if the air inlet, hose, or telescopic tube becomes blocked, the vacuum cleaner should be switched off, and the blockage(s) removed before restarting. Not adhering to general safety information and maintenance instructions can invalidate the warranty. Regular cleaning of the dirt container and filters, along with checking for blockages, ensures the vacuum operates efficiently and safely.
