Why my Dixon 36 & 48 engine does not start?

If your Dixon Lawn Mower engine fails to start, several factors could be at play. Ensure the key is in the 'ON' position. Check that the transmission shift lever is in neutral and the blade control is in the OFF position. Verify the fuel tank isn't empty and the fuel shut-off valve is open. The throttle control should be in the choke position. Also, make sure the spark plug wire is connected. Other potential issues include safety interlock switches needing adjustment, a bad or disconnected spark plug, a dirty air filter, a clogged fuel filter, or bad fuel. Replacing these components or adjusting the switches as needed might resolve the issue. If the fuel is bad, drain the old fuel and refill with fresh fuel.
