ringcanbeselected.Inthiscaseyoushouldusethe1...128rangetoagreewiththenumbersinthetable

TheprogramchangemessagesmustbesentonDarkEnergy‘sMIDIchannel(pleaserefertosection„MIDI

(2) Velocity on/off
Theseprogramchangemessagesareusedtoselectwhetherthenoteonvelocityaffectsthecontrolvolta-
gesCV3resp.CV4.Ifvelocityis„off“onlyvolume(CV3)resp.thefreechosencontroller(CV4)isusedto
generatethecontrolvoltage.Ifvelocityis„on“thevolumeorcontrollervalueismultipliedwiththenoteon
velocity,i.e.theCVvaluechangeswitheverynewnoteeventasthevelocityofthenoteeventisusedto
calculatethecontrolvoltagetogetherthevolumemessage(CV3)resp.thefreecontroller(CV4).
(3) Retrigger on/off
Withthisparameteryoumayselectwhetheranewgate/triggerpulseisgeneratedwhenplayinglegato(i.e.
playinganewnoteonthekeyboardwhilethekeyoftheformernoteisstillpressed).Thefactorydefault
settingisretriggeroff.AdditionallytheMIDIcontrollerslegato(controller#68)andsustain(controller#64)
affect the gate output in the usual manner.
(6) CV1 Key Assign Mode (Note Priority)
TheseprogramchangemessagesadjustthetypeofassignmodesforCV1.Ifhighestnoteisselectedthe
highestkeypressedontheMIDIkeyboardisusedtocalculatedCV1ifmorethanonekeyispresseddown.
Inthelastnotemodealwaysthelastnote(chronological)istakenforCV1.Referencenotemeansthatonly
thereferencenoteisaccepted.Thisfeatureisusefulifyouwanttotriggerdifferentdevicesonthesame
MIDIchannelusingtwoormoreDarkEnergy.InthiscaseyouhavetosetthereferencenotesforDark
Energy‘stodifferentvalues.
StacknotemeansthatDarkEnergyislteringoutthenoteeventthatisusedbyDarkEnergytogenerate
CV1.Thenoteeventinquestionisnottransmittedtothe(internal)MIDIThruoutputoftheinterface.Stack
modeisusedtocontrolmorethanonesynthesizersononeMIDIchannelandenablespolyphoniccontrol
ofdifferentsynthesizersonthesameMIDIchannel.

(7) Arpeggiator
Dark Energy offers an internal arpeggiator. An arpeggiator splits the notes of a played chord into a suc-
cessivepatternofsinglenotes.Inmusic,thesplitofchordsintoapatternofsuccessivenotesisingeneral
named „arpeggio“.
