8.5 Stopping the generator
➤ Stop the generator with the on/off switch (fig. 3 2, page 4).
If the generator does not stop: switch it off with the main switch (fig. 2 1,
page 4).
Stopping the generator for a prolonged time
➤ Switch it off with the main switch (fig. 2 1, page 4).
➤ Disconnect the battery.

Description
Generator behaviour Measures
LOW BATTERY
The battery voltage has fallen
below the minimum value for
starting up (9V).
The generator does not start. Charge the battery.
OIL CHANGE
The number of prescribed
operating hours has been
reached for changing the
engine oil.
The generator continues to
run.
Change the oil (see chapter
“Changing the oil” on
page 24), then restart the
generator by pressing and
holding down the start but-
ton.
NO FUEL
The fuel in the tank is in
reserve.
The generator continues to
run.
Refuel.
CHECK OIL LEVEL
Insufficient engine oil.
The generator stops. Fill up with oil (see chapter
“Checking the oil level” on
page 21).
OIL TEMP PRESS
Insufficient engine oil.
The generator stops. Fill up with oil (see chapter
