What to do if Doosan Air Compressor unit fails to shutdown?
    • S
      Steven SalinasAug 20, 2025
If your Doosan Air Compressor unit fails to shutdown, it could be due to several reasons. A defective discharge air temperature switch, separator temperature switch, engine temperature switch, or engine oil pressure switch could be the cause; in any of these cases, replace the switch. Alternatively, a defective shutdown solenoid might be the issue; carefully block the air inlet to stop the engine. A malfunctioning relay can also cause this problem, so replace the relay. If the start switch is defective, pull the wire off the shutdown solenoid and replace the defective item. Lastly, a wire shorted hot can prevent shutdown; repair the short.

Why does my Doosan C185WKU-T2 Air Compressor unit shutdown?
    • Q
      qbrownNov 5, 2025
If your Doosan Air Compressor unit shuts down, several factors could be the cause. It might be due to a blown fuse, in which case you should replace the fuse and check for any shorts. Alternatively, a loose wire connection could be the culprit; inspect the wires at the switches and connector blocks, making necessary repairs. If the engine oil pressure is too low, check the engine oil level and add oil if needed. Also, check the coolant level if the engine water temperature is too high, and add coolant if necessary. If the unit is out of fuel, add CLEAN diesel fuel. Other potential causes include a malfunctioning relay (replace the relay), a defective discharge air temperature switch (replace the switch), a defective engine oil pressure switch (replace the switch), or a broken engine fan be...

Why my Doosan C185WKU-T2 Air Compressor won’t start/run?
    • S

If your Doosan Air Compressor won't start or run, there are several potential causes. First, ensure that the unit has enough fuel by adding CLEAN diesel fuel. If the fuel filters are clogged, service them. Check the compressor oil level and add the correct oil if it's too low. Inspect for loose wire connections and repair or replace them as needed. Verify the battery voltage is adequate, checking both the electrolyte level and the connections. Other possible causes include a defective alternator (replace or repair), high engine water temperature (check and add fluid if necessary), a malfunctioning start switch (replace the switch), or a defective D2 diode (replace the diode). Also, check for a blown fuse and replace it, looking for any shorts. If the engine oil pressure is too low, check t...

How to troubleshoot high compressor oil temperature in Doosan Air Compressor?
    • G
      gomezaprilNov 28, 2025
High compressor oil temperature in your Doosan Air Compressor can stem from various issues. A dirty cooler can cause this; clean the exterior surfaces. Low oil level is another potential cause; add oil and check for leaks. If the oil filter elements are clogged, replace them and change the oil. Ensure the operating pressure isn't too high; reduce it to the specified level. Dirty operating conditions can also contribute; move the unit to a cleaner environment. If the ambient temperature is above 120°F (49°C), it exceeds the specification limit. If the unit is out of level by more than 15 degrees, relocate or reposition it. Confirm you're using the correct lube oil by checking the specifications in the manual. Other causes include recirculation of cooling air (close the canopy and replace th...
