Overview

The DREO Macro Pro True HEPA Air Purifier is designed to improve indoor air quality through a 3-stage filtration system. This user manual provides comprehensive instructions for its operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, ensuring optimal performance and longevity of the appliance.

Function Description

The core function of the DREO Macro Pro is air purification, achieved through a sophisticated 3-stage filtration system. This system comprises a pre-filter, an H13 HEPA filter, and a high-efficiency activated carbon filter. The pre-filter is designed to capture larger particles, extending the life of the subsequent filters. The H13 HEPA filter is highly effective at trapping microscopic particles, including allergens, dust mites, pet dander, and pollen. The activated carbon filter then works to absorb odors, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and other harmful gases, leaving the air fresh and clean.

The air purifier features an Air Quality Indicator Light, which visually communicates the current air quality level in the environment. After the device is turned on, this light cycles through Red, Orange, Green, and Blue for 30 seconds, after which the air quality sensor begins to gauge the air quality. Blue indicates excellent air quality, Green signifies good, Orange suggests moderate, and Red points to poor air quality. This real-time feedback allows users to understand the effectiveness of the purification process.

Usage Features

The DREO Macro Pro offers several modes and controls to tailor the purification experience to individual needs.

  • Power Button: This button allows users to turn the air purifier on or off.
  • Manual Mode: In this mode, users can manually select the fan speed, choosing between Low, Medium, and High settings. This provides flexibility for different purification requirements and noise preferences.
  • Auto Mode: This intelligent mode automatically adjusts the fan speed based on the detected air quality conditions. When the air quality is poor, the fan speed will increase to purify the air more quickly, and it will decrease as the air quality improves, optimizing energy consumption and noise levels.
  • Sleep Mode: Designed for quiet operation, Sleep Mode sets the fan speed to its lowest setting. In this mode, all buttons are muted, and all lights turn off after 10 seconds, ensuring an undisturbed environment, especially suitable for nighttime use.
  • Turbo Mode: For rapid air purification, Turbo Mode operates the fan at its highest speed. This is recommended when indoor air quality is particularly bad or when a quick purification process is desired. After the air quality improves, users can switch to Auto or other modes.
  • Timer Button: This feature allows users to set a specific time (2, 4, or 8 hours) for the air purifier to automatically turn off or on. To cancel the timer, simply press and hold the timer button for at least 2 seconds.
  • Child Lock Button: To prevent accidental changes to settings, the Child Lock feature can be activated by long-pressing the button for 3 seconds. When engaged, all other buttons on the air purifier are locked, except for the Child Lock button itself, ensuring uninterrupted operation.
  • Memory Function: The air purifier is equipped with a memory function. If the device is turned off or disconnected from power, it will resume operation with the previous settings (excluding the timer setting) when it is turned on again.

For optimal performance, it is recommended to keep doors and windows closed while the air purifier is operating. Users should also ensure that air openings are not blocked and that the appliance is kept away from curtains or walls to maintain proper airflow.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for the DREO Macro Pro to ensure its continued efficiency and extend its lifespan.

  • Filter Replacement: The filter life is determined by the air purifier's internal algorithm, which considers factors such as working mode, fan speed, run time, and indoor air quality. It is recommended to replace the filter every 6-8 months or when the Filter Change Reminder light illuminates in red.
    • To replace the filter: First, turn off and unplug the air purifier. Then, turn the appliance upside down, rotate the bottom cover counter-clockwise to unlock it, and remove the cover. Take out the old filter from its packaging and insert the new filter. Finally, replace the bottom cover, rotate it clockwise to lock it in place, and return the air purifier to an upright position.
    • Filter Reset: After replacing the filter, the Filter Change Reminder light will continue to flash until it is manually reset. To do this, long-press the Filter Reset Button for 5 seconds until it beeps, and the indicator light turns off.
    • Filter Care: It is important to keep the filter away from water and humid areas, as moisture can lead to mold growth, compromising its effectiveness.
  • Cleaning the Inside & Outside:
    • Before any cleaning or maintenance, always unplug the air purifier.
    • Inside Cleaning: Remove the filter and use a dust vacuum to clean the interior of the appliance.
    • Housing Cleaning: Wipe the exterior housing with a dry, soft, non-abrasive cloth.
    • AQ Sensor Cleaning: Open the cover at the back of the air purifier and clean the Air Quality (AQ) sensor with a dust vacuum.
  • Cleaning the Pre-Filter: For optimal use, the outer pre-filter can be cleaned with a soft, dry brush once every 2-4 weeks. This helps to remove larger particles and maintain the overall efficiency of the filtration system.

The manual also provides a troubleshooting section to address common issues such as unusual noise, unpleasant smells, or reduced airflow, guiding users on how to resolve these problems or when to contact customer support.
