What to do if my Dualit DBL4 Blender stops turning whilst processing?

  If your Dualit Blender stops turning while processing, it could be due to several reasons. The jar might not be correctly seated on the main body, so ensure it's properly in place and hold it down during blending. The blender automatically switches off after 1.5 minutes to prevent over-processing; this is a safety feature. If the ingredients are too thick, stop immediately, unplug the blender, and thin the mixture. Also, the blender has a motor overload protection; if overloaded, unplug it and let it cool for 30 minutes before using it again.

  If the blade of your Dualit Blender isn't turning, it could be due to a damaged drive coupling. Avoid lifting or shaking the jar during use. If the drive coupling is damaged, contact Dualit repairs. Alternatively, the blade might be jammed. If the stop light flashes red, switch off and unplug the blender, then remove any ingredients blocking the blades. Process food in smaller batches, ensuring chunks are no larger than 2cm.

  Uneven blending in your Dualit Blender can occur if the wrong setting is selected; refer to page 11 for guidance. Generally, use Auto pulse for dry ingredients and add liquids first, then solids on top. Also, food might be sticking to the sides. If so, stop the blender, remove the jar, and use a spatula to redistribute the food towards the center.

  If your Dualit Blender jar is leaking, the blade might not be correctly threaded. Remove and reattach it, ensuring it's secure. Check the gasket for damage and proper seating on the blade, then reassemble. Also, ensure the blade assembly is hand-tightened anti-clockwise as far as possible. Use the provided tool to undo the blade assembly only.

  A cloudy Dualit Blender jar can result from blending hard items over time, which may scratch the inside. Consider buying a spare jar if you regularly blend hard items. Also, using the wrong dishwasher setting can cause cloudiness. Only dishwasher on a cycle below 40°C and place on the top shelf.
