      Thomas PaulAug 20, 2025
If your Duluth Forge Indoor Fireplace produces unwanted odors, it could be due to several reasons. The heater might be burning vapors from paint, hair spray, or glues; in this case, open a window to ventilate the room and stop using odor-causing products while the heater is running. What to do if Duluth Forge FDF400T-ZC Indoor Fireplace pilot light goes out when control knob is released?
    • J
      Johnathan ScottAug 22, 2025
If your Duluth Forge Indoor Fireplace's ODS/pilot lights but the flame goes out when you release the control knob, ensure the control knob is fully pressed in and held for at least 30 seconds after the pilot lights. Also, make sure the equipment shutoff valve is fully open. Check that the thermocouple connection is snug at the control valve, tightening it by hand until snug and then a quarter turn more. If the pilot flame isn't touching the thermocouple, or the thermocouple or control valve is damaged, consider replacing the thermocouple or the control valve.
