6 Framework
The framework structure should be inspected annually
for defects, i.e., cracks in members or welded
connections. The framework should be cleaned prior to
the inspection.
7 Metering Units
Ensure that the metering units are clean and that the
rubber sealing lip is not damaged. The sealing lip
is located along the base of the trap door hinge. A
damaged sealing lip can cause seed delivery problems.
8 Fan Hydraulic Motor
Hydraulic Fan -connect the hoses in the following order:
First - connect Zero pressure Case Drain 3/8” hose
(1/2” BSP Female QR) to hydraulic reservoir *
Second -connect Motor Return 3/4” hose (3/4” BSP
Female QR) to tractor high flow low pressure return
port.
Finally - connect High Pressure Motor Feed 1/2” hose
(1/2” BSP Male QR) to tractor remote.
Disconnect in the reverse order to prevent motor seal
damage.
*The tractor hydraulic reservoir or free drain connection
must have zero backpressure.
