STORAGE
If the generator is not to be used or is to be stored for more
than one month the following storage procedure should
be carried out. Drain all the fuel from the fuel tank (refer to
page 19) and the carburettor (see below), ensure that all
the fuel has been drained.
Remove the spark plug and pour approximately one
tablespoon full of clean engine oil into the spark plug hole.
With the start turned OFF gently pull on the recoil starter
cord several times.
Re-fit the spark plug and gently pull the recoil starter
cord until the piston is on the compression stroke (when
resistance is felt) then stop pulling.
Store the generator in a dry well ventilated place under a
cover to prevent any dust or debris from accumulating on
the generator
DRAINING THE CARBURETTOR
1. Remove the access panel for more details,
refer page 10.
2. Place a fuel safe container under the fuel drain tube.
3. Loosen the carburettor drain screw at the end of the
tube and allow fuel to drain out, Pic. 23.
4. Once fuel has drained, secure screw.
5. Discard the old fuel responsibly.
6. Fit access panel and secure with top screw for more
details, refer page 10.
