CHECKING/CLEANING THE AIR FILTER
For proper performance and long life, keep air filters clean.
1. Remove the access panel for more details,
refer page 10.
2. Loosen the 5pcs air filter screw and remove the air filter
panel Pic. 20.
3. Remove the air filter Pic.21.
4. If the filter element is dirty, clean with warm, soapy
water. Rinse and let dry.
5. Apply a light coat of engine oil to the elements, then
squeeze it out.
6. Replace the element into the air filter box.
7. Replace air filter cover and tighten the 5pcs air filter
screw
8. Fit access panel and secure with top screw for more
details, refer page 10.
NOTE:
Do not run the generator without the air filter. Rapid
engine wear will result and this will not be covered under
warranty.
DRAINING ENGINE OIL
WARNING!
Generator is heavy and may require 2 people to lift.
1. Start generator.
2. Run generator, without load for about 2-3 minutes.
3. Stop generator and turn the fuel cap breather to off.
4. Remove the access panel for more details,
refer page 10.
5. Remove oil filler cap.
6. Position oil safe container next to the generator.
7. Lift and tip generator to drain the oil out of the “oil fill”.
8. Once oil sump is empty place generator on its feet,
wipe up any spills.
9. Replace oil filler cap. If changing oil refer to
page 10 for oil filling details.
10. Fit access panel and secure with top screw for more
details, refer page 10.
NOTE: Improper disposal of engine oil can be harmful
to the environment. If you change oil please dispose of
it properly. Put it in a sealed container and take it to a
recycling centre. Do not discard it in household waste,
dump it on the ground or pour it down a drain.
CLEANING THE FUEL TANK FILTER
1. Remove fuel cap.
2. lift out the fuel tank filter.
3. Clean the filter, replace if broken.
4. Dry the filter.
5. Slide back into the fuel tank.
6. Replace fuel cap.
CLEANING THE EXHAUST PORT & MUFFLER
Depending on the type of fuel used, the type and amount
of oil used, and/or your operating conditions, the exhaust
port and muffler may become blocked with carbon
deposits. If you notice a power loss with your petrol-
powered tool, you may need to remove these deposits
to restore performance. We highly recommend that only
qualified service technicians perform this service.
