  Several factors can prevent your Dura Heat Heater from lighting. First, ensure the valve on the propane cylinder is fully open by turning it counterclockwise. Also, check if the propane cylinder is empty and needs refilling. Make sure the regulator is set to the 'Low' position. If the excess flow device has been triggered, close the cylinder valve, wait 5 minutes, and then reopen it slowly. Finally, a defective regulator can also cause this issue, requiring a replacement of the regulator assembly.
