Why is my Duraflame 9HM1000-C240 Heater blowing cold air?
    • E
      Elizabeth AllisonAug 16, 2025
If your Duraflame Heater isn't blowing warm air, it could be due to a normal cool-down cycle, where the unit continues to run for several minutes with cool air. This duration varies based on temperature. Alternatively, it might not be reaching the set temperature. In that case, perform a master reset: turn off and unplug the unit, hold the main power button while plugging it back in, continue holding for 5 seconds after plugging it in, then release. Turn the unit back on; the temperature should flash 72 degrees then display the ambient room temperature. Also, remember this heater is designed as a supplemental heat source.

Why does Duraflame 9HM1000-C240 Heater take so long to heat up?
    • A
      Anita MatthewsSep 12, 2025
If your Duraflame Heater is taking a long time to heat the room, remember that it's designed as a supplemental heat source. Position the unit on an inside wall with proper insulation. Ensure the back and sides of the heater are more than 6 inches away from objects for proper air intake. Also, plug the unit directly into the wall outlet, avoiding surge protectors or extension cords. The heater provides supplemental heating for up to 800 sq/ft.
