  If you observe excessive flames coming out of the burner of your DuraHeat Heater, and the burner is not glowing red, it could be due to: * Debris or spider webs in the mixing tube or burner. Clean the burner tube with a bottle brush, rinse it in water, and drain it thoroughly before reinstalling. * A clogged orifice. Remove the orifice and clean it using compressed air.

  If the piezo on your DuraHeat Heater (some models only) won't spark, consider the following: * The piezo may be defective. Replace the piezo. * The ignitor may be misaligned with the burner mesh. Realign the ignitor with the burner mesh, ensuring the spark gap is 0.15'' (4mm). * The wire may be frayed or damaged. Replace the wire.

  If your DuraHeat Heater won't light, there are several possible causes: * The valve on the propane cylinder may not be open. Open the cylinder valve by turning it counterclockwise. * The propane cylinder may be empty. Have the cylinder refilled. * The regulator might not be in the 'Low' position. Turn the regulator to the 'Low' position. * The excess flow device may have been triggered. Close the cylinder valve, wait 5 minutes, and reopen it slowly. * The regulator may be defective.
