How to troubleshoot green POWER LED not lighting on Duralast DL-2D?
    • M
      Marie AllenAug 6, 2025
If the green POWER LED does not light when your Duralast Battery Charger is properly connected, there are a couple of potential causes. First, the AC outlet might be dead; check for an open fuse or circuit breaker supplying the AC outlet. Second, there could be a poor electrical connection; inspect the power cord and extension cord for a loose-fitting plug.

What to do if the red BAD BATTERY LED is lit and yellow/orange LED is flashing on Duralast DL-2D Battery Charger?
    • P
      Phillip RichAug 16, 2025
If the red BAD BATTERY LED is lit and the yellow/orange LED is flashing on your Duralast Battery Charger, it could be due to several reasons. First, the battery voltage might still be below 10V (for a 12V battery) or 5V (for a 6V battery) after 2 hours of charging, which may indicate a defective battery. Ensure there are no loads on the battery; if present, remove them. If not, have the battery checked or replaced. Alternatively, in maintain mode, the output current might be more than 1.5A for 12 hours, indicating unsuccessful desulfation, in which case the battery may also be defective and should be checked or replaced.

Why is the red BAD BATTERY LED lit on my Duralast DL-2D Battery Charger?
    • A
      Ashley MillerNov 24, 2025
If the red BAD BATTERY LED is lit on your Duralast Battery Charger, several issues could be the cause. The battery may be sulfated, indicated by a lack of progress and a battery voltage below 14.2V (for a 12V battery) or 7.1V (for a 6V battery). In this case, allow the charger to continue charging for several hours. If this is not successful, have the battery checked. Alternatively, the battery’s initial voltage could be below 12.2V (for a 12V battery) or 6.1V (for a 6V battery) with a total input less than 1.5 Ah, suggesting the battery may be overheated; allow it to cool. Also, the battery voltage could drop below 12.2V (for a 12V battery) or 6.1V (for a 6V battery) in Maintain Mode, indicating the battery should be checked or replaced. Furthermore, the battery capacity may be too low, o...
