Overview

The Duronic VC7020 is a bagless vacuum cleaner designed for indoor/household use, offering efficient cleaning for various surfaces. It features two HEPA filters and one sponge filter, which are crucial for optimal performance and should be cleaned regularly.

Technical Specifications

  • Model: VC7020
  • Power: 700W
  • Voltage Rating: 220-240V, 50/60Hz

Usage Features

The vacuum cleaner is designed for ease of assembly and use.

  • Assembly:
    • Hose Connection: Insert the hose connector into the inlet hole at the front of the vacuum cleaner and turn it clockwise to lock. To disassemble, turn counter-clockwise and pull out.
    • Telescopic Tube: Attach the telescopic tube to the flexi hose. These can be pulled apart for disassembly.
    • Floor Brush/Turbo Brush: Insert the telescopic tube into the opening on the floor brush (or turbo brush) and rotate to fasten securely.
  • Operation:
    • Power Cable: Pull the power cable out, stopping when the yellow mark is visible. Avoid pulling past the red mark to prevent over-extension.
    • Power On/Off: Use the power button to turn the vacuum on and off.
    • Speed/Power Control: Adjust suction power using the speed/power control dial.
    • Cable Rewind: After use, turn off the power, unplug from the mains, and push the rewind handle/button to retract the cable. Guide the cable with your hand to prevent whipping.
  • Attachments:
    • 2-in-1 Tool: This versatile nozzle has a flat end for crevices and hard-to-reach areas (corners, behind furniture) and a brush end for delicate surfaces (upholstery, curtains, bookshelves, keyboards, window ledges).
    • Floor Brush: Suitable for both carpet and hard floor surfaces. For hard flooring, press the pedal to extend bristles. For carpets, press the pedal again to retract bristles.
    • Turbo Brush: Can be used on both carpet and hard floor surfaces, providing a deeper clean for carpeted floors.

Maintenance Features

Regular cleaning and maintenance are essential to prolong the life and ensure optimal performance of the VC7020.

  • Emptying the Dust Container:
    1. Hold the dust container with one hand and push the release button with the other to remove it from the machine.
    2. Take the container to a rubbish bin, hold it over the bin, and push the release button to open the bottom.
    3. Tip the container upside down to empty contents.
    4. Close the lid securely and click the dust container back into place on the vacuum.
    • Recommendation: Empty the dust container regularly, especially when dust reaches the MAX indicator.
  • Cleaning the 1st HEPA Filter:
    1. Carefully remove any obvious deposits of dust and hair from the filter.
    2. Wash the filter in warm water.
    3. Allow to air-dry naturally for 24 hours.
    4. Once completely dry, replace it back into the vacuum cleaner and close the back cover.
  • Cleaning the 2nd HEPA and Sponge Filters:
    1. Ensure the vacuum is unplugged from the mains socket.
    2. Hold the dust container with one hand and push the release button with the other to remove it.
    3. Remove the filter casing and separate the sponge filter from the HEPA filter.
    4. Carefully remove any obvious deposits of dust and hair from both filters.
    5. Wash both filters in warm water.
    6. Allow them to air-dry naturally for 24 hours.
    7. Once completely dry, replace them back into the vacuum cleaner and close the back cover.
    • Filter Cleaning Frequency: For light/less frequent use, clean filters at least twice a year. For frequent/heavy use, clean filters monthly.
    • Important Filter Notes:
      • Dirty or clogged filters can reduce suction.
      • Never put wet filters back into the vacuum; ensure they are completely dry to prevent suction loss and motor damage.
      • Do not wash filters in a washing machine or tumble dryer; hand wash and air dry only.
      • Do not use hot water or detergents; wash only with water.
      • Ensure filters are properly fixed in place before using the vacuum. Do not operate without filters.
      • Replacement filters are available for separate purchase from Duronic.
