Very helpful - thanks for the detailed step-by-step and photos. I opted to disassemble the impeller
assembly, including removing the impeller from the motor shaft by unscrewing the nut visible in
your Step 4 photos, and thoroughly washed all the plastic components in hot soapy water. That
adds careful wire routing to the reassembly process but it gets out dirt you just can't reach
otherwise. When I was finished the fan sounded, functioned, and even smelled like new.
Step 6: Assemble Back Components (Work in Progress)
Assemble all components the same way they were
disassembled. Be sure to ensure they are properly
aligned. Most components are designed to t in only
one way, and any misalignment is noticeable.
There would not be need to force any components. If
you nd something needs to be forced in place, do
check alignment of all the previous parts again.
