What to do if EarthWise GS015 Paper Shredder motor does not run?

      Johnathan BoothJul 29, 2025
If the motor of your EarthWise Paper Shredder isn't running, first ensure the shredder is plugged into a working outlet and that the extension cord isn't damaged. If the overload protection has activated, remove any chips and press the reset button, then wait five minutes before restarting. Also, check that the hopper is secured and the lock knob is tightened.

Why is material not pulled in EarthWise GS015 Paper Shredder?
    • K
      kjohnsonAug 13, 2025
If your EarthWise Paper Shredder isn't pulling in material, it may be jammed in the feed inlet, or the cutting blade or discharge chute might be blocked. First, disconnect the power and open the hopper, then pull the jammed material from the feed inlet and replace the hopper. If the blade is blocked, disconnect the power, open the hopper and blade cover, remove the blockage, and replace the blade cover and hopper. For a blocked discharge chute, disconnect the power, open the hopper and the plate of the discharge chute to clear any blockage, then replace the plate and hopper.
