Overview

The ET5410 and ET5411 are single-channel DC electronic loads designed for a variety of testing applications, including chargers, switching power supplies, linear power supplies, and batteries. They offer high resolution and precision, with 1mV/10mV and 1mA/10mA capabilities, and come equipped with 12 common modes and comprehensive testing functions.

Function Description

The ET54 series electronic loads provide a range of basic measurement modes:

  • Constant Current (CC) Mode: The load consumes a constant current regardless of input voltage changes.
  • Constant Voltage (CV) Mode: The load draws sufficient current to maintain the input voltage at a set level.
  • Constant Resistance (CR) Mode: The load acts as a constant resistance, consuming current that varies with the input voltage.
  • Constant Power (CP) Mode: The load maintains a constant power consumption by adjusting the current as the input voltage changes.
  • Constant Current and Constant Voltage (CC+CV) Mode: Combines constant current and constant voltage characteristics.
  • Constant Resistance and Constant Voltage (CR+CV) Mode: Combines constant resistance and constant voltage characteristics.

Beyond basic modes, the devices offer specialized testing functions:

  • Battery Test: Used to evaluate battery discharge performance in constant current or resistance mode, determining discharge capacity.
  • LED Test: Simulates real LED lamp characteristics by incorporating a diode on-voltage setting in CR mode. The load begins to operate when the input voltage exceeds the diode on-voltage, accurately reflecting the load capacity of LED driving power supplies.
  • Dynamic Test Mode: Allows repeated switching between two load setting currents or voltages to test the dynamic characteristics of a power supply. This mode supports continuous, pulse, and trigger operations.
    • Continuous Mode: The load continuously switches between A and B values after the test starts.
    • Pulse Mode: For each trigger signal received, the load switches from A to B, maintains the pulse duration of B, and then switches back to A.
    • Trigger Mode: The load switches between A and B values for each trigger signal received, with pulse width settings being ineffective in this mode.
  • Scanning Test Mode: Detects continuous operation of the source within a certain range, capturing critical parameters like protection current and turning voltage. Users can set start/end points, step quantity, delay, and threshold types.
  • List Test Mode: Tests the source under different loading conditions by pre-setting a sequence of steps, including load mode, load size, delay time, and comparison limits. This is useful for automated production line testing.
  • Short Circuit Test: Simulates a short-circuit at the input, with the actual short-circuit value depending on the power supply's maximum output.
  • Qualification Test: An additional function for basic measurement modes (CC/CV/CR/CP) that detects in real-time whether the current test is within set limits, displaying "Pass" or "Fail."
