CUSTOMER/USER RESPONSIBILITY
AND MACHINE CONTROLS
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Since the manufacturer of the machine cannot exert any direct
control over the applications and operation of the machine,
these activities are the exclusive responsi-bility of the user and
co-workers.
PERSONNEL TRAINING
The lifting platform is a machine intended for use by personnel.
As a result it is essential that its operation and maintenance are
entrusted only to authorized personnel who have demonstrated
that they understand how to use and maintain the machine.
It is important that all the personnel assigned to the unit and re-
sponsible for the operation and maintenance of this machine
follow a thorough training programme and complete a period of
probation in order to become familiar with the operational fea-
tures of the machine before using it.
Persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs and persons
suffering from epileptic fits, dizziness or loss of motor nerve con-
trol must not be allowed to use the machine.
Operator training
Operator training is based on the following:
1 Use and limitations of the controls in the cage, those
on the ground and the emergency controls.
2 Knowledge and comprehension of this manual and
the control signs, instructions and warnings affixed
to the machine.
3 Knowledge of all the work safety rules imposed by
the employer and the laws in force, including train-
ing in regard to the recognition and prevention of
potential dangers present in the place of work, with
special attention to the specific job to be carried out.
4 Correct use of all the compulsory personal safety
equipment, especially use of safety helmets and other
equipment against the risk of falling, with a safety belt
attached to the cage at all times.
5 Sufficient knowledge of the mechanical working of
the machine to be able to recognize actual or poten-
tial breakdowns.

Da maskinens fabrikant ikke kan udføre nogen direkte kontrol
med maskinens anvendelse og funktion, er disse aktiviteter
udelukkende brugerens og dennes medarbejderes eneansvar.
OPLÆRING AF PERSONALE
Liften er et redskab, som bruges til personer.
Derfor er det af største betydning, at funktion og vedligeholdelse
kun udføres af autoriseret personale, som har demonstreret at
kende til de særlige krav, som stilles til brugen og
vedligeholdelsen af maskinen.
Det er vigtigt, at al personale, som beskæftiger sig med
maskinens funktion og vedligeholdelse, følger et detaljeret
oplæringsprogram og gennemgår en prøveperiode for at blive
fortrolig med de operative karakteristika før selve maskinen
tages i brug.
Det må ikke tillades, at maskinen bruges af personer, som er
under indflydelse af narkotika eller alkohol eller personer, som
lider af epilepsi, svimmelhed eller tab af motorisk kontrol.
Oplæring af operatøren
Oplæringen af operatøren baserer sig på følgende:
1 Brugen af og begrænsningerne for kurvens
styrekommandoer, kommandoerne på jorden og
nødstopkommandoerne.
2 Kendskab til og forståelse af denne manual og
afmærkningen af kommandoerne, instruktionerne og
advarslerne, som er placeret på maskinen.
3 Kendskab til alle sikkerhedsnormer for arbejdet, som
er opstillet af arbejdsgiveren og den gældende
lovgivning, herunder undervisning i genkendelse og
forebyggelse af potentielle, tilstedeværende farer på
arbejdsstedet med særligt henblik på den specifikke
arbejdsudgave, som skal udføres.
4 Korrekt brug af al obligatorisk sikkerhedsudstyr for
personalet, specielt brugen af sikkerhedshjelm og
andet udstyr, som sikrer mod nedstyrtning med et
sikkerhedsbælte konstant fastgjort til kurven.
5 Kendskab til maskinens mekaniske funktion;
kendskabet skal være tilstrækkeligt til at genkende en
faktisk eller potentiel fejl.
