Easy Rest maresses are constructed using high-
quality materials beneath the top cking to provide
extra comfort and conformance. Even using the best
components, the materials ulized for the comfort
layers will naturally sele and compress due to the
weight and shape of the user over me. This seling
or compression is not a structural or design defect,
but a normal result from use. It will not aect the
support and conformance of the maress. Please
be aware that compression of upholstery layers is
not covered under the limited warranty nor should
it be considered “sagging” if you see some evidence
of body impressions. To reduce body impressions, it
is recommended that you rotate your maress 180
degrees monthly to vary the areas of highest use.
Addionally, it is recommended that Dual System
users move maresses from one side of the bed to
the other periodically to further vary the areas of
highest use between users. When the bed is not in
use, place the bed in the at posion. This will allow
the maress to wear longer.
The oponal heat unit should not to be used on or by
an invalid, deep sleeping or unconscious person, or
by a person with poor local blood circulaon unless
carefully aended. Do not use heat on areas of
insensive skin. Never remove the electric heang
unit from the bed without rst unplugging it from
the wall outlet.
Spot clean only with water based shampoo or foam
upholstery cleaner. Pretest a small, inconspicuous
area before proceeding. Do not over wet. Do not
use solvents to spot clean. Pile fabrics may require
brushing with a nonmetallic, s bristle brush to
restore appearance. Hot water extracon or steam
cleaning is not a recommended cleaning method.
To prevent overall soiling, frequent vacuuming or
light brushing with a non-metallic s bristle brush
to remove dust and grime is recommended. When
cleaning a spill, blot immediately to remove spilled
material. Clean spots or stains from the outside to the
middle of the aected area to prevent circling. Use a
professional furniture cleaning service when an overall
soiled condion is apparent. We recommend placing
a maress pad/protector (not included) on top of the
maress as an added layer of protecon.
To avoid injury, children or pets should not be allowed
to play under or on the base. Children should not
operate this base without adult supervision.
During base operaon, gaps under the base (pinch
points are created (Figure 1). A child, a person’s limb,
or a pet can become entrapped at these locaons.
During use, and when base is in a raised posion,
always keep gap areas under the base (pinch points)
clear and keep all limbs on top of the base. Failure to
follow this warning could result in serious injury or
death from pinch point areas.
