Why is my Echo Chainsaw engine cranking but hard to start or not starting at all?

If your Echo Chainsaw engine cranks but is hard to start or doesn't start, the fuel strainer or fuel line may be clogged, requiring cleaning or replacement. The fuel mixture might be too rich; in this case, open the choke, clean or replace the air filter, and adjust the carburetor. Check that the stop switch is in the ON position. Inspect the spark plug for incorrect gap, carbon buildup, fuel fouling, or defects; adjust the gap to .65mm (0.026in.) or clean/replace the plug as needed.
