  If your Echo Lawn and Garden Equipment engine runs but then dies or doesn't accelerate properly, several issues could be the cause. A dirty air filter, fuel filter, or a plugged fuel vent could be the culprit; try cleaning or replacing these. The spark plug might be dirty or worn, in which case you should clean and adjust or replace it. Improper carburetor adjustment or a dirty/plugged cooling system can also cause these issues, so adjust the carburetor and clean the cooling system. Finally, a plugged spark arrestor screen can cause problems; replace it to resolve this.

  If your Echo Lawn and Garden Equipment engine cranks but doesn't start, there could be several reasons. Check for fuel at the carburetor; if there's none, clean or replace the carburetor. Also, inspect the fuel strainer and fuel line for clogs; clean or replace them if necessary. If the muffler is wet with fuel, open the choke, clean or replace the air filter, and adjust the carburetor. If there's no spark, make sure the switch is ON. Check the spark plug gap, and adjust it to .65mm (0.026in.) if incorrect. If the spark plug is covered with carbon or fouled with fuel, clean or replace it. If the plug is defective, replace it.
