Why does my Echo Brush Cutter engine crank but not start?
- MmelissamooreJul 26, 2025
If your Echo Brush Cutter engine cranks but struggles to start or doesn't start at all, several factors could be responsible. The fuel strainer or fuel line might be clogged, or there could be an issue with the carburetor. Try cleaning or replacing these parts. Also, the fuel mixture could be too rich; in that case, open the choke, clean or replace the air filter, or adjust the carburetor. The stop switch might be off, there might be an electrical problem, or an interlock switch issue. Ensure the switch is set to ON. Finally, the spark gap may be incorrect, covered with carbon, fouled with fuel, or the plug may be defective. Adjust the spark gap to 0.70mm (0.026 in.), clean or replace the spark plug.
